THE FORMULA 4 MADE IN MAGNY-COURS

A CHAIN OF HIGH-TECH SKILLS

The Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) is working on the development of the cars that are used for drivers to gain competition experience at a limited cost and has decided to restructure the different levels in the single seater ladder.

This is the task that has been entrusted to former F1 driver, Gerhard Berger, by Jean Todt, President of the FIA.

The objective: to allow young karters, whatever their country of origin, to step up to single seaters before progressing to Formula 3, and then the most talented of them, to go on to Formula 1.

The FIA Formula 4 has been designed within this structure and will to be used by all the National Motorsport Federations.

Coordinated by Mygale, there are seven other companies,
all members of the Pôle Performance Nevers Magny-Cours,
major references in European motorsport,
who have joined together to create
the first Formula 4 built to 2014 FIA specifications.

The first FIA F4 running prototype has been produced.

Result: thousands of kilometres already covered to develop the vehicle and confirm its performance. Increased reliability using mass-produced parts (radiators, discs and brake pads, wheel bearings...), which mean a reduction in costs due to lower and less frequent maintenance.

100th model !
